1-Ringo- Amazing "A", five star effort
2-Time Takes Time (very close second)-Another Amazing "A", five star work
3-Vertical Man- another great album, very close to #1 & #2.
slight dropoff
4 & 5- tie: Choose Love & Ringo Rama- very good albums overall
6 & 7- tie: Liverpool 8 & Goodnight Vienna- good albums overall
8-Beacoups Of Blues- still a fine album...could be tied with 6 & 7 depending on mood...
noticeable dropoff
9-Rotogravure- less high high points, and lower low ones, but OK with some greatness still there.
10 & 11- tie: Stop & Smell The Roses & Old Wave- very few high points, & really OK at best
HUGE DROPOFF
12- Ringo The 4th- a couple worthwhile tracks amid lots of dreck
13- Sentimental Journey- Beacoups Of Blues really worked...this really didn't.
14- Bad Boy- and boy, is it ever bad...still a salvageable track or two.
Didn't rate, and don't know the live ones too well, but like what I know of VH1 storytelllers (which makes me hope soundstage is good too) and Blast From The Past and the new Best Of are great, while Greatest Hits Vol.II isn't. There you go. Blessings!!!

For The Record (pun intended) I've grossly underrated "Liverpool 8". I'd only heard it twice through, though completely, via VH1 online, when I did this rating. Since then I'd have to say it'd currently be in a tie with "Vertical Man" for the #3 spot at best, and at worst it'd be one peg down tied with "Choose Love" & Ringo Rama"; which I suspect it's actually better than (either of them). I downloaded it at a cut-rate, and will look for a used hard copy on down the line, and since I've had it to spend time with I LOVE IT. Actually someone posted the whole thing on youtube, and listening to it there a few more times, really convinced me not to wait, and just download it cheap whilst still looking for a deal on a regular copy. I'm glad I did!! Happy Easter Eve & Blessings!

Whether you like "Sentimental Journey" pretty much depends on whether you like that type of music in the first place. I happen to like old standards and stuff like that, so for me it was a real treat to hear Ringo sing them. No, he's not the greatest singer in the world, as he readily admits, but it is fun just to hear a Beatle singing these songs. Kind of bridging the generation gap, in a way. But that's just me.
