The show has always had this rule. And they booked months ago, knowing it. If Ringo didn't know, then his representatives should shoulder the blame for not letting him know what they are signing him up for.
James Brown walked out 12 years ago when they wouldn't break the rule for him, after agreeing to it and he showed up intending to put a whole long show on.
The song isn't that good, and could use over 2 minutes shaved off of it.
When a casino gives your concert tickets away for free to extremely low frequency players (like me), I don't think the ego should be that big to walk off one of the most watched morning shows in the U.S.
Ringo doesn't seem to be making too many friends on this PR tour of his.
He needs to turn the ego down.
