Floyd Mayweather vs. Ricky Hatton

Postby Genuine_Indian_Guru » Sat Dec 08, 2007 8:53 pm

I'm not sure if we have any fight fans in the forum.

Who else wants to see the pride of Manchester, victorious in tonight's superfight versus "Pretty Boy" Floyd.

Let's go Ricky!
I go back so far... I'm in front of me!

Yeah, I'd like to see Ricky shake it up and win!

The sport definitely could benefit from some fresh faces and enthusiasm, the local sports station has a reporter there and he says that the past 3 days have been a blast with the Brits singing and quaffing brews in the casinos.
No word if attendance is up or not this week at LOVE.

Mayweather was just too good - ironic that in the end it was was Hatton who underestimated his opponent, and not the other way around as was predicted by many. I also thought Mayweather conducted himself admirably after the fight - he won with good grace - maybe the "money mayweather" stuff is just an act.

Also, I was embarassed to be British when Hatton's "fan's" booed the American national anthem - just want to let the Americans on the forum know that we're not all that bad.

But was a very entertaining fight - worth getting up at 4am for!

Appreciate that James! And I will take it for not only this instance but also when I was in London in 2004: It was uncomfortable when people would look around to see who the "Yank" was...I got a lot of dirty looks...but, I attributed it, at that time, to the controversy over Tony Blair following George Bush into Iraq, but, I didnt let it bother me!! I was in London for goodness sakes!
I love the sound of Paul screaming in the morning...
