Boo, Hiss - do I sound like a ball park heckler?

I must say I was a big Dodger fan back in the 80's when they had Lopes, Yeager, Sutton, Garvey, Cey etc... that was a great team, but this sweeping the Cubbies stuff, that hurts guys :)

James, you ROCK!!! The Dodgers are THE TEAM!!! I've been a Dodger fan as long as I've been alive (my father is a huge fan). They won the World Series when I was about 10 years old and it was one of the greatest memories of my youth.

My father and I saw them sweep the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago back in 2002, and Tommy Lasorda sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" - and asked everybody to "root root root for the Dodgers!" Cubs fans didn't like that too much, but my Dad and I sure did. 8) Another great memory.

"...if they don't win it's a shame"

Cubs in first place on August 29? Could this be the start of something Painful?

Heck, if the Braves don't get going soon, I'll be watching football in October...dang! The Falcons won't be much of a consolation, either! :x

I suppose history also shows that even even perpetual heartbreak can come to an end...or not. :?

weirdly enough...i thought the red sox winning the world series was awesome (could be i felt a sort of brotherhood with bo-sox fans, but that had sadly since been squashed...)

and in chicago, there has always been a...your'e a cub fan or a white sox fan...and anyone even thinking about rooting for both teams gets the soggy testicle electroid regimen. but i was even glad for them and their fans. (i tried to...for just one moment, temporarily adopt the sox as my own, and it only rang false for me)

but you should see how smooth my balls are now
