Zeppelin reunion with...Ringo

It seems to me Ringo is having too much fun being Ringo (frontman extraordinare) to play back-up to anyone, even the mighty Zeppelin, and as you guys have pointed out, I don't think he could cut it anyway.

I used to have "Ringorama" but it got scratched and unplayable, but one of the songs was "Instant Amnisia" and that was an awsome drumming performance. The drumming on "Back Off Boogaloo is awsome too. He didnt need Jim Keltner or Ray Cooper to help him!
I do think that Ringo is very underrated as a drummer.

i'm not sure anyone here has anything bad to say about ringo as a drummer. and i'm also not sure he is that underrated as one either. he is considered, by many accounts, as one of the best of all time. that is not to say he would have been fine behind pete townshend and roger daltry. or page and plant. but he did what he did...and he did it very well. different styles for different bands.

and nice call with the petty thing, mervap...you hit it right on the head.

Well they both played Ludwigs. But you never know. It would seem like an odd mix.

Ringo actually has played on at least one Beach Boys album cut..."California Calling" on their 1985 release "The Beach Boys"

Zak Starkey would fill in wonderfully for BONZO (RIP).
Ringo's son is more of a "power drummer" than his dad; also Zak's style emulates RIngo's fave drummer: Keith Moon. LOts of fills and relentless style, with power !
I think Zak would be ideal for the ZEP's !

Jason pounds the snot of the skins too though...seem appropriate that he sits in for his dad. I just hope, Zep doesn't embarrass themselves. That's pretty tough music to re-create after all these years. And Jimmy seems a bit lost on the axe lately. I think we'll see JP Jones holding them all together..even more that he always did before.
