Is Broadstreet a bad film?

for those of you who appreciate the movie...i think that is both fine and dandy. i'm not trying to convert anyone who likes it into not liking it. but for me...no likey

i'm one of those guys who buys everything paul releases. albums...deluxe editions, if possible. cd singles with b sides. everything. but, i didn't buy that movie. because i would never watch it. truth be told...i don't have the album on cd either.

i can respect an opinion that differs from mine. its all good with me. but for arguments that suggest the movie is (at least) better than howard the duck, or anaconda...now thats funny. to say there are some real stinkers out there that are worse...is a marginal defense at best.

i will give it his...i did have a crush on tracy ullmann at the time.

I must confess however, that I'd never heard the origianal.

Perhaps if , like Crissti says, it were only a longform music video....maybe 30 min., with all the boring acting taken out...just the music scenes left. Hey! Do it like the silents and provide the narration in writing onscreen, i.e. "Meanwhile, back at Abbey Road, Paul has just finished telling Ringo some really boring stuff. He picks up his Epiphone and..." !

Or not......either way.
