Why did he shave his head in '73 ?

By all accounts 1976 was a low point in Ringo's LIFE.
Lots of booze, partying with no tomorrow in sight, bad companies....
A huge health problem that led to his undergoing surgery (I think he lost a piece of his stomach in the process),

Small Intestine
He was talking about it in Postcards from the Boys and he said he couldn't drink after the surgery, but he enjoyed filling other people's glasses.

so - YEAH -
perhaps to start a new craze, perhaps for a new lease in life
he shaved off his hair, beard AND EYEBROWS !

I have a pic but I have to edit it cause he's giving the finger.
I hate this look - he looks like he's going through chemo - God forbid!

I hate that look too. I had the same thought you had when I first saw that picture. Thank God those times are long gone !

Lennon never shaved his hair in '73! It was Jan 1970 or year 1 as the man called it!!!
It gradually grew back through Imagine and was at full length again by Walls & bridges and the Whistle Test Interview!!!!
