But why? It was released to DVD two years ago!

I enjoy the movie. I'm glad it was put on DVD in the US. Wonder why no UK release?
I particularly like No More Lonely Nights (one of his best songs in my opinion). I also enjoy the warehouse rehearsal scene, with Not Such A Bad Boy, No Values, etc.
I might have trimmed down eleanor rigby or taken it out of the picture. Still I am happy to have it.

the musical pieces are fine...sometimes even great. but the acting...and the dialog? reminds me of something that rhymes with...coop.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.

Hi, I'm new here!
I remember when I was about fourteen - back in 2002 - and my dad, who's also a Paul/Beatle fan, mentioned Broadstreet to me. At the time, we didn't have access to the internet, so we looked in every car boot and charity shop everywhere! Even the Beatle shop in Liverpool didn't have it. Luckily, we noticed a DVD/Music catalogue order place in a music magazine and they had it - thank goodness. I must have watched it six times in a week!
Though not a great film, it is good to showcase Paul's musical talent. And there's not much footage of him from the early eighties - other videos like Put it There and Movin' On have shown him later on of course - and it's also good to see Ringo.
There are things I notice on repeat viewings. There's a lot of detail in the script. Harry vaccuming Bryan Brown's office in the very beginning for instance, I never noticed, and we don't meet Harry again for about twenty or so minutes. There are other things - like the pub Paul meets him in the flashback in the pub shows the same barman about an hour or so later before we meet Ralph Richardson.
Maybe, like he said in The Paul McCartney Special, if there had been three or four drafts of the script, it could have been a little better. But for die hard fans it's great!
And he looks younger than his years in it too. He was about forty three, but he looks at least thirty, I reckon!
