someone may have suggested this one already, but...does old brown shoe count? even if bass riff was written by george?

It sure counts ! A Beatle song.

The bass line in it is great - and you know what ? Years ago some writer (I wish I could remember who) said it was George on bass....

I believe that Paul's best overall bass work is in George's "Something".

but he also did some great stuff on his own songs - lovely rita, getting better, penny lane, for no one, you wont see me, all my loving, you never give me your money....the list goes on, they're all great!
