Hey Jude-the Song and the Video Clip

Postby Steve-o » Mon Sep 09, 2002 9:43 pm

I think Paul's performance on that song and music clip that was on The Smother's Brothers (if im not mistaken) was truly amazing. What a great song, and did it ever break the barriers on the normal length of a single. He looks great behind the piano on that one. Also my Dad's fave Beatle song. Vocals are truly classic McCartney.

I like the part of the video where the chick sat down beside him at the piano and they promptly gave her the boot.[B)]

Steve - You mean that clip of the crowd around the group??? I'm almost sure that they performed on David Frost... correct me if I'm wrong.

Peace.

And yes, GREAT song indeed!!! So much great that deserved a release of an album titled "Hey Jude" in the Lads breakup year. The refrain "da-da-da-dad-da-daaaaaaa" is the most famous in the whole world!!![^]

Peace.

This promo of Hey Jude is awesome. A classic. It's funny though because Paul's vocals is the only thing that was performed 'live.' The music was taped. It's funny because you can see things like George playing a 6-string guitar like a bass, and John's rhythm strumming is totally out of sync. But regardless, a GREAT clip!

I have not viewed that in years. I was just going on memory, but I loved it. I THINK i have it "Compleat Beatles", but that's a great catch there Ramster. I'll have to dig that out and look at it.
