Steve, is she a Beatles fan too? I hope she is. Most of the Beatle husbands I know of forced their wives to become one. I did it. Going back to the great harmonies, I remember George Martin saying what he noticed exceptional to the Beatles when they were still beginning was their ability to harmonize with ease. As early as then, it was already evident.

I could stop and think for a while and come up with a bunch of songs but "Nowhere man" is the first song that comes to mind when I see this topic. "paperback writer" being another one.

This is one of those topics I'm going to find difficult to reply to as one of the things I have always loved about The Beatles is the style of their harmonies, I have so many favourites. I agree with all the points mentioned in this topic thus far and many of these songs I love for the harmonies. One song not mentioned yet is Yes It Is, another of my favourite Beatles 'harmony' songs.
