I'm old enough to remember when this first came out, and if my memory is correct Paul said in interviews that the video depicts an actual historic occurance from WWI. One theme he's talked a lot about over the years in interviews is how people from countries who happen to be in conflict with each other, when they meet face to face, are likely to see what they have in common with each other and be friendly rather than think of each other as enemies. I've observed this in my personal life too. So I think he wanted to show an event that he understood to be a true event from history to illustrate something that is important to him personally.

Yeah that video turned me off the song big-time. Sometimes you're left shaking your head.. it's a dreadful video, even Young Boy has too much of a Handycam look to it..

Coming Up!. It is really funny. At first I didn't know that everyone is Paul in it. Some of them seemed like him, and others didn't at all.
