Postby EddieV » Tue Jul 04, 2006 2:30 pm

After John released Double Fantasy he talked about touring again and going to England. Which songs would he have chosen?? Here is what I picked

1. Cold Turkey
2. Woman Is the Nigger Of The World
3. Well, Well, Well
4. Mother
5. How Do you Sleep?
6. Help
7.Oh Darling (tribute to Paul)
8. Revolution
9. Jelous Guy
10. Woman
11. God
12. Beautiful Boy, Sean joins his dad

Encore 1st.

Imagine, acoustic
Working Class Hero, acuostic
Strawberry Fields Forever piano
Come Together

Encore 2nd

Power To the People
Give Peace A Chance

Hopefully Yoko would stay out of the picture!!!!!!!!![/b]

The songs I see on your list that aren't very probable is "Oh Darling". He has too many of his own songs to do to make room for a Macca compostion. With "Beautiful Boy", Sean would of been too young (6 years old) to go onstage to perform w/ him. Your setlists doesn't have enough Double Fantasy material in it. And John had mentioned at the time that Yoko would be part of the show, which means (judging from previous concerts, tv appearances, etc..) that she would get to sing about 1/3 of the setlists.

Yeah, I don't see any way how John would play some of those songs live. Like, why in the heck would he perform How Do You Sleep and then also perform a tribute' to Paul!? No way!

I also doubt he'd play God, Working Class Hero, Mother or Woman Is The Nigger Of The World.

I think he'd definitely play I'm Losing You, Starting Over, Watching The Wheels, Dear Yoko, and Every Man Has A Woman!

I could see him doing In My Life as well.

by 1981, standard rock concerts were running 20+ songs, and yoko would be with him no doubt about it:

1 whatever gets you through the night
2 instant karma
3 woman
4 kiss kiss kiss
5 surprise surprise
6 watching the wheels
7 sisters, o sisters
8 well well well
9 i'm losing you
10 hard times are over
11 how
12 starting over
13a yes, i'm your angel
13b new york city (NY show only)
14 strawberry fields forever
15 #9 dream
16 yes, i'm your angel
17 beautiful boy (darling boy)
18 beautiful boys
19 give peace a chance

encore:
20 mind games
21 help!
22 imagine

...i would guess that he would have added more beatles tunes as the tour progressed after he experienced the fan reaction.

Ok - this took some time.
Don't forget - a) he would be promoting Double Fantasy, b) he hadn't quite come to terms with this Beatle past as much as Paul had (at that time) and c) Yoko would definately have to do a couple of songs

1. No.9 dream
2. It's so hard
3. Whatever gets you through the night
4. I'm losing you
5. Starting Over
6. Scared
7. Girl
8. Love
9. Old Dirt Road
10. Jealous Guy
11. Mind Games
12. Oh Yoko
13. Woman
14. Kiss Kiss kiss (Yoko)
15. Walking On Thin Ice (Yoko)
16. Come Together
17. Watching the Wheels
18. In My Life
19. Imagine
20. Be-Bop-A-Lula

Encore

21. She Said, She Said
22. Instant Karma
23. Give Peace a Chance

Wouldh't that encore be bloomin' brilliant -!!!
