Well, as for John's albums . . .
Plastic Ono Band - masterpiece.
Imagine - unbeatable, the best album with John's name on it.
Sometime In New York City - can't say, as I don't have it.
Mind Games - took a while to grow on me, but I like it now.
Walls & Bridges - been a while. Must have another listen. But "Nobody Loves You . . ." is fantastic!
Double Fanasy/Milk & Honey - scrap Yoko's songs, put all of John's together, and you have a brilliant album!
"Sometime In NYC" disc 1 is a very political activist album, that´s more a panmphletary miscelanious of that politic moment like Women´s Lib, the prision of activist John Sinclair, "Tricky Dick" Nixon´s China visit, Ireland question, Attica´s massacre, etc. etc... Musically(especially for Yoko´s remarkable presence)the album really don´t rock to me, even John I think couldn´t raise so much the album level... But the live concert at the Fillmore East on disc 2 is interesting just for the Frank Zappa´s presence.
Peace.
