I haven't seen it, but yes, that's a moving scene, knowing what happened in 1980. But Lester shouldn't have removed it. It really adds something to the film these days imho.

I just think that the best John's film is the "Imagine" documentary, with family's statements when I was wondered that time when even aunt Mimi appeared on the film... The scenes on recording studios are memorable too.
