I haven't seen it, but yes, that's a moving scene, knowing what happened in 1980. But Lester shouldn't have removed it. It really adds something to the film these days imho.

Agreed Ram. The most productive thing to come out of this film was Strawberry Fields Forever which John wrote while on location making the film.

I just think that the best John's film is the "Imagine" documentary, with family's statements when I was wondered that time when even aunt Mimi appeared on the film... The scenes on recording studios are memorable too.
