NHL playoffs for the Stanley Cup

Postby Mike » Mon May 29, 2006 2:15 pm

This playoff year is exciting and nice to see the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup finals. Though I'm a Bruins fan my brother has been out in Alberta over 25 years now I guess and of course he's a big Oilers fan. They certainly are getting the goaltending and if they can get over the flu by the time the finals start they have a good chance to win it all.

What an amazing game last night, end to end action, great goaltending and it wasn't decided literally til the last seconds of the game.

Being a hockey fan in Minnesota, I was pulling for Edmonton this whole playoff run because of Dwayne Roloson. He was the Minnesota Wild goalie until being traded to the Oilers during the season. It was crushing to see him get hurt and then to loose on such screw up between the Oilers defensman and the back up goaltender. Go Oilers !!!

At first glance it looked intentional but the Oiler defensemen did shove him into Roloson. That is really too bad and I hope the report he's done for the year was only to phsyc out Carolina. For him to bring the Oilers this far and then get sidelined, the finals is what hockey players dream of all their lives. It's what it's all about.

One more Oilers fan here. First two games did not give much hope, but IT'S GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME - hopefully :)
