You have to look at the demographic of the voters. Who reads Mojo or NME ? White Males 25-40 probably.

I didn't see anything wrong with that list. There will be a new list next week anyway...and Britney Spears will be on it. :)

Besides, how many people are reading that list right now saying..." Good Lord! Not the freaking Beatles again!"

Well I'm mad as hell and i"m not going to take it any more!
And in the end...

Wow of all the Suede albums, they put the worst one, Dog Man Star in there. The debut certainly deserves a placing for its glammy collection of classic songs but Dog Man Star was a mess.

And The Killers at #21? That was such a predictable boring run of the mill album. The typical kind of album from 'the next big thing' that rides on the coat-tails of a mediocre hit single (Somebody Told Me) where the rest of the album doesn't even come close to the single that was released. 100 bucks says The Killers will sink without trace and never be heard of again.

I would also contend that Chaos and Creation in the Backyard is better than 90% of the records in that list.
I needed comfort of love just to get me some piece of mind.. wo-oh

We all know these lists can be ridiculous, they can be fun if done a tiny, tiny bit more sophisticated like - DUH - dividing it into eras, or styles, or genres, etc.

For instance, have a top list of albums released in a particular decade.

Here's my Top Ten of the 60's:

(Excepting the Beatles! whose albums are all above these)

1.Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
2.Hendrix - Are You Experienced
3.Simon and Garfunfel - Book-Ends
4.Jefferson Airplane - Surealistic Pillow
5.Byrds - Younger Than Yesterday
6. Buffallo Springfield Buffalo Springfield
7.Doors - The Doors
8.Who -Who's Next?
9.Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmos Factory
10.Donovan - Sunshine Superman
"Step on the gas and wipe that tear away,
One sweet dream came true today!"
