sadly it's probably going to stay this way (former beatle paul)because people are complete idiots. I think john may carry the title a little more than paul due to his death so long ago.

I agree it is silly to forever be refering to any of the former Beatles as former Beatles, but as George always said, they will always be refered to in that way.
Actually, Paul probably doesn't care. That's my opinion. I think if we could could open him up and see his soul it would read: Beatle Paul.
Paul never wanted to stop being Beatle Paul, after all. The breakup of the Beatles broke his heart.
When Paul goes on tour, he is giving the old fans like me what we want: The Beatles (as close as he can manage, anyway). Which is not to say I don't love Wings and his solo work too. I do.

The other way the media refers to them since the breakup till now is as "Ex"-Beatle... I think the Beatle-shadow will never leave their persons anymore.

I think we're all agreed on this subject. Former Beatle, ex Beatle etc etc. To me they are just meaningless phrases that have long since stopped having any real value.
