They were covering the American Songbook that Rod has done and Taylor sang Sam Cooke - "You Send Me". He started out singing it just kind of like the record but he turned it on at the end and was on fire!

Simon even liked him

Top 1: Katherine!!

Second two: Paris & Taylor

Bottom 3: Chris, Kellie & Elliot

Kellie started off so good, I thought she was gonna cruise. But it got worse and worse, and I think that might be enough for her to go this week.

I hope that Chris leaves though! He can't even sing Louis Armstrong without sounding like a tool!!

'tool' eh, rick....snickersnicker :)

when they mentioned that it would be 'american songbook' stuff...i deeply cringed, figured this would be the single worst week...only a 'american broadway hits week' would make me cringe in fear more...but, i thought everyone but pickler did pretty darned good. and i was more entertained than i ever could have thought was possible.
my man taylor was weak in the begining, but he had a stunningly good finish.
wasn't terribly surprised to see ace go, but kellie did do far worse, she was all over the place: i think she got a sympathy vote going for all her southern charm and apologizing...certainly not talent, this week.

i believe that i once read that they (Am.Idol) were wanting to/have talked to pauls people ( or paul himself) about doing a macca (not beatle) week... i'm sure i read (maybe Ent. Weekly ?) it wouldn't happen, if all things could be worked out, until next ('07) year.

have to disagree with you Rick i think taylor will go to the top 3 because pickler's votes have to go somwhere i think Paris is next.

TAYLOR IS THE MAN.....srry but it is true to me
These are the days of miracle and wonder....

Paris is HISTORY

Postby russelllindsey » Thu Apr 27, 2006 4:49 pm

Well, I tend to agree... Paris is NEXT.

Pickler may have been a dim bulb, but she normally could pull it off.
I'm sad to see her go. I agree though, she was by far the worst this week.

Not exactly sure who I'd pick to win it all now (I just know that it wouldn't be Paris - she needs time to develop)...

It will be an interesting few weeks...

Lindsey

i figured it'd be paris or elliot..and it wasthisclose,eh?

i must admit i am surpised no one has brought up the 1st use of a beatle classic...taylor emoting a not too bad version of 'something'...

unless the stars become aligned in an evil fashion...elliot goes home next
