For me it has to be "Toad" by the great Ginger Baker. I'm sure many people will pick a Bonham solo, but for some reason I've always preferred Baker to Bonham. I think it's the jazz thing. Baker has always seemed like a rock 'n' jazz drummer to me. I am so grateful I finally got the opportunity to see him with Cream. He did the solo, and it was great. It wasn't as long as the Wheels of Fire version, but he still had it. In fact, he and Bruce stole the show.
Also, Steve Gadd's drum solo on "Aja" by Steely Dan is out of this world. Just perfect.
Finally, I saw Elton John several years ago with Ray Cooper, and Ray did an awesome percussion solo.
