i grew up watching, and loving, a lot of the older films, but many just don't hold up, for me, dramatically...(too stagey).. but a next ten would include quite a few more older films...not to mention foreign films...

Listed as one of the worst movies of all time....probably why I liked it too....that, and Phoebe Cates. Can't go wrong there.
Another really good movie that never gets mentioned is The Frighteners, with Micheal J Fox.

If that was in a news pole by some newspaper or news site I couldn't care less. Those things normally get everything mixed up anyway.
An honorable mention though in the movie department is American History X. And OldBoy's also a classic. Can't believe I didn't work that one into my list.
