Spector ruined Let It Be and being a Paul fan...I can't stand the guy.
"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."

I do like that early "wall of sound" stuff with The Ronettes.

I can't however see the "Genious" of that sound. Brian Wilson says to this day that he worshops only two figures in music and they are Spector and McCartney. In that order I may add!

I don't get it....Wilson as far as my eardrums are concerned is far more superior than Spector....yet Wilson loves spector like we all love McCartney!

Say what you want about what Phil done to "Let it Be" I'm sure most would be true...but I don't know of any Lennon Recording produced by Spector that was a better record because of it.
I go back so far... I'm in front of me!

I think that Phil Spector destroyed his name by producing the Beatles and Lennon. Ok, he produced some very good albums by George and John, but his behaviour when recording of Johns Rock and Roll album, was so out of control.

Guru Said: I agree Eddie, he did make some good records with John and George ...but were they good for their production or because the songs were well written?

You´re right Guru. Most decent producers could have made good albums with John and George.

Do you think he is guilty og murder??

It is true. It happened during the sessions for Lennons Rock and Roll album. It was in Lennons Lost Weekend in LA, where he besides recording also hung out with Ringo, Harry Nillson and Keith Moon. There was a lot of drinking going on and Lennon made some stupid things. But the most stupid thing that happened was Phil Spectors shooting.
