American Idol

well, i'm hooked, have been for years...cheese or no !

this year, so far, i'm very heavily leaning towards taylor hicks (?), the grey haired 29 yr old...if joe cocker and michael mcdonald had a test tube baby with..i don't know, janis ian...it'd be him...he does get into the music!
so far, mandisa is a close second, for me.
both have astounding voices and great personalities !
that little geeky kid should've got the boot last week, instead of the young black kid...man, he could sing...was just waiting for him to really get into it...coulda easily been a al green type, just needed to loosen up.

which raises a thought...does anyone else notice that when the booted-off contestant sings, they always seem much more passionate than the night before, when they were wooden and sucked...or is it just me ?

You know, my sister and I watch every week and last week when Ayla sang we said Wow if she had sang that good on Tuesday she might not have been voted out. I think alot of the reason they are better after being booted is the pressure is off and they know it is their last chance to perform for millions.

Chicken Little definitely should have gone home last week. Gideon was great, I wanted him to stay around too.

Yes! I was never a big fan of his before tonight, but he was incredible on that tonight! Great rendition of a great song! Katherine did a spectacular job as well, but I thought everybody else was sub-par tonight! But you can't have too high of expectations when you're singing Stevie Wonder.

Taylor was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perfect song choice.
I didn't think he looked like an anchorman at all, I thought he looked really put together.
Did anyone hear the comment about him possibly dyeing his hair? I think that would be a very bad call, what do you think?
I also think Katherine was good but she needs to buy a new wardrobe. It looked like she borrowed her dress from a Charles Manson follower.

Please Lord let Melissa or Kevin go home tonight. I did like Kevins comment that he didn't expect much from Simon though.

Chicken Little MUST go. No talent and a smart-ass. Did not like him talking back to Simon like that. Simon is doing his job....CL should do his and sing...although he should have never even made it past HW week. Gid was far stronger.
