Tooots, I've heard some cuts here and there, seen him on PBS. Two jewels that I quite like are Mattinada and Amor Ti Vieta.
Opera is of course an aqcuired taste, but he does have a way of evoking emotion and the sublime in an opera novice like me with that readily likeable delivery of his.

very nice voice...prefer the more classical type stuff, or, at least, singing in his native tongue...his english singing voice just doesn't seem as expressive....probably just me, tho
