too many old ones to ever stop counting (esp. if i included guilty pleasures)...but: i just watched the first season of the new Battlestar Galactica show...i must say, while i did not like the original at all...and had no reason to suspect anything worthwhile... it is awesome...one of the best shows i've ever seen. on every level, a true must see. great storytelling.
now, if i only had cable....guess i'll wait for the dvd...again....

My favorite TV shows in the 2004 - 2005 period:

"HOUSE" (very sarcastic, arrogant, harsh Dr House, great casting all around, great storylines and dialogue - isn't it great ?),

"TWO AND A HALF MAN" (hilariously cynical) ,

"RESCUE ME" (macho/sexist firefighter show with nasty-in-a-macho-funny-way Dennis Leary but what the hay - I'm a guy and I kinda like a lot of the stuff and the ladies..... and where I found out about The Von Bondies !)

I just watched the Olympic edition of Top Gear....they just sent a rocket powered Mini-Cooper down the ski jump in Lillehammer. Pretty funny. :)

A long-running New Zealand medical soap called Shortland Street
Survivor and all other reality shows like
Dragons Den
Trading Spouses
American Idol / Rock Star INXS
The Apprentice
The Contender
Extreme Makeover

plus.. a great NZ documentary tv show about psychics solving murder cases called Sensing Murder. A mindblowing show - has opened my mind when it comes to psychics.
..and another one called Ghost Hunt - where 2 people go to a different haunted place each week and set up cameras and walk around and film the things going bump in the night!

So yeah, it's a mixture of reality tv and the paranormal!
I needed comfort of love just to get me some piece of mind.. wo-oh

GODIVA's (Canadian show - about a restaurant, a sexy restauranteur, assorted customer'/lovers & staff + hot-all woman crave-macho indian chef (not chief  ), his "ambiguous", roomie, plenty of hot (and not) females, gay people (Homos & Lesbos - only care for the latter), the works... very spicy !

The show is filmed in Vancouver.
Regarding your Q: not that I know of - but there's kinky, pooky, hokey, ropey stuff and plenty of verbal abuse (in a refined way though) in it
