Lyrics aren't everything. Otherwise Wild Thing you make my heart sing would never have made it out of the practise room.
For the record, I think the Spin It On lyrics are spot on. Inventive wordplay, grasping phrases at random, just like he uses "my salamander" in Getting Closer and the "breed controler born deceased" in Soily, I like how Macca sometimes reaches for the sky and pulls odd things from out of thin air - makes the song more interesting and stand out more. Kurt Cobain's another one who likes to use random strange imagery, that maybe he wasn't even sure what he was describing, but whatever it was it suits the song well. But then again, it's not everyone's cup-of-poetry.
I needed comfort of love just to get me some piece of mind.. wo-oh
