No Good Macca DVD ... :-(

Postby Lazarus_2 » Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:54 pm

Should release a new one after this next tour he's doin'...

Either all music videos he's ever done, complimented by 5.1,
or of the tour he's doin'.

Why is it so hard to make a decent LIVE DVD???

Eagles did it, Neil Young included one with his last album, James Taylor's LIVE at beacon theatre was good...
...

I guess there's no point in even talking about it...
Chances of a great McCartney DVD coming out are slim.

I don't understand......Back in the U.S. was very good....wasn't it?
I thought it was great at capturing the energy of the first leg of the 2002 tour. I would have liked it to be a bit more documentary like but all in all It was great!
I go back so far... I'm in front of me!

Really? i read somewhere it kept cutting in and out, showing a little of a song , then going backstage or something else...
Lots of quick-cutting here and there i heard.

get Rockshow. Now that's a great concert film.
"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."

Live in Spain 2004 is good because it's just straight ahead music without all the "stuff" in between.

I agree, Lazarus. There's too much "quick-cutting" between different things, showing bits of songs, bits of backstage, bits of out-and-about around the fans..this is great maybe if you have the attention span of a flea, but I like to sit myself down and immerse myself in a song / concert from start-to-finish - with no breaks, no documentary stuff (unless it's a special bonus feature), I like to *experience* a concert as it actually unfolds and be there right until the end. I find all this other stuff rather distracting. No other artist actually does this, to my knowledge.

And yes, it's about time we had a compilation of ALL his promo videos. That's promo, not porno lol...
I needed comfort of love just to get me some piece of mind.. wo-oh
