Didn't the Moody Blues cover that from some motown or r & b group?

I am fairly sure that was Denny Laine and Wings covering the Moody Blues (featuring Denny Laine)

No no...what I mean is...the song is older than the moody blues..denny didn't write it!
I go back so far... I'm in front of me!

As I just wrote, Bessie Banks wrote it! (It was an American soul ballad).

James1985: You don't think Denny was much of a writer? I think he was superb. E.g. No Words, Time To Hide, Deliver Your Children, Children Children, Again And Again And Again. What's not to like?

A couple of people have said that Spirits Of Ancient Egypt is one of their favourite Denny songs. Paul wrote it...on his own.

I don't think he could've carried a band on his own with his own songs. His osngs just pale in comparison to Pauls. But I've never heard any of his solo work so I may be mistaken

I agree; I don't think he could have carried a band. I just like his songs.

My vote goes to "Children, Children" from London Town

I agree. He was a pretty fine #2 guy in Wings. He knew his place. And he complimented Paul very well. But what has he done after Wings?
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.
