I got my new DVD player and AHDN video.
WOW! Isn't that amazing? I haven't had a chance to see the whole thing yet, but the clarity of the interviews with Richard Lester and George Martin is super. I'm still learning how to work the DVD player, so I'll see the rest this weekend.
Looking forward to getting more Beatles/Paul DVDs in the weeks ahead.
Ain't technology grand?
John would have loved this stuff.
(Being this big Lennon fan, I always think I know exactly what John would say, think etc etc...[;)])

Is it me? The sound don't sound all that hot. I have it going thru a dolby digital reciver and it sounds muffled. To much bass. I listened to the "Eagles" DVD and to "Get Back" and they sound great so I know its not my system. The picture looks great.

I think they didn't remaster the songs, because they wanted it to be original. That's a pretty lame argument, because with DVD you can make things sound soo much better. Too bad.

Is the Magical Mystery Tour DVD any good? I saw it in the store the other day, didn't buy it 'cause it ws too expensive. But if it's really good, I may buy it anyway.

My VHS copy sounds good But when I listen to the DVD in 5.1 its just not mixed well. I still love the DVD don't get me wrong. If they decide to re-mix HELP in 5.1 or DTS I hope they bring in George Martin to do it.
(That's thinking George Martin did not have anything to do with the AHDN DVD remix.)

I understand GM has a lot of trouble hearing. That's why he didn't do the new songs on the Anthology project. And I don't think he did the Yellow Submarine remixes either, but I'm not sure.

Beethoven also went deaf at the end of his life. It must be terrible when you've always relied on your ears to do your thing.
