) and thus landed on quite a good British site (http://www.play.com, for those who are interested, they've got quite a good selection of Macca DVDs and at least in Europe don't charge shipment) and ended up buying, among others, said "Music Box Biographical" thingee which is supposed to give an overview of the man's life and career, hoping to find some interesting footage there.
Most of what I've seen so far I know from "Anthology" - there was just this bit I think I hadn't seen before where apparently the Fabs received some award from Harold Wilson in the form of silver hearts and John said "thanks for the purple hearts" and Ringo stepped in and said "no, they're silver"
. But what was new as compared to "Anthology" was this awfully obnoxious guy who appeared every now and then, appearently sort of "guiding" through the programme. He must be some well-known figure, it is just that I don't know him. His name hasn't appeared so far, nor does it appear on the sleeve of the DVD. He has what to my ears sounds like an awfully polished southern English accent, a beard all over his ugly face, must be about 50ish on the DVD, his teeth obviously didn't enjoy much dental hygiene and he seems to be self-satisfied to a point of being painful. Actually he looks a bit like these guys from Monty Python dressed up as lumberjacks who appeared at the Concert for George. All that is his business and doesn't worry me too much (although in his place I would avoid cameras instead of taking up hours and hours of camera time) - it is just that he talks such unbelievable crap. Among others, he says that Macca didn't do anything noteworthy in his solo years, except perhaps for "Band on the Run" (how generous of him). But what really is the limit is the way he talked about MJ outbidding Macca on the royalties. He said, pursing his lips, it had not been "erm... very fortunate", but he looked and sounded like what he really meant was "serves him right, I'm glad they were snatched away from him, even if it had to be MJ".
My question is: WHO IS THAT UNBEARABLE INDIVIDUAL? Can anybody help me? At least I want to know WHO to enter high up in my "most obnoxious individuals" list.

He did say something about "Ebony and Ivory" - I think it was that referring to the black and white keys on your keyboard was somewhat simplistic or something - I'd have to listen again.
