Well, in that case, I'll call in the archaeologists - if you're in the bronze age, how old does that make you?

And my first Beatle LP is on the Vee-Jay label!

VeeJay Records..."Introducing The Beatles" Late 1963 (I think).
Cat # VJLP1062

Side One:
I Saw Her Standing There
Misery
Anna
Chains
Boys

Side Two:
Please Please Me
Baby It's You
Do You Want to Know A Secret
A Taste of Honey
There's A Place
Twist and Shout

Identical to the British release, Please Please Me, except that it didnt include:

Ask Me Why
Love Me Do
PS I LOve You
(last two released as a single on Tollie records around 6 months earlier.)

I has a 2/3 flap on the front with drawings of the boys. Bios and has hilarious heart shaped spaces on the back for the girls (hopefully) where they could paste their picture under a pic of each Beatle--caption: Paul loves ect.

Macca is listed first on the inner opposite of the flap with the following:

Paul is sometimes called the "Nut Beatle" or Beatle Nut" (Take that Kameamea) because he is the zaniest of the group-he has the quickest wit-loudest laughter and carziest sense of humour and is a habitual practical joker. Paul is the only Beatle with jet black hair-he has a strong straight nose and a full lower lip and gleaming white teeth. He hates to shave and calls it the curse of mankind. He favors tight clothes and in case you'd like to shop for him his collar size is 15" and his waist size 30". He is indiffernt to what he eats and can make do with very little sleep-he loathes pajamas and prefers to sleep raw-hates tub baths and loves showers. Oh yes-and one more thing. He hates jelly beans.

Has listings for Real Name, Birthplace,Birthdate, And....
Ht: 5'11"
Wt: 160 lbs
Hair: Jet Black
Eyes: Brown
Education: Liverpool Institute
Marital Status: Single
Plays: Guitar,piano,drums and banjo
Fave Singers: Ray Charles and Peggy Lee
Fave Actress: Ann Margaret
Instrument he likes most: Guitar

The others have similair bios. Pauls, curiously enough is the shortest. Johns say, in part, That he is the "Cheif Beatle".

Great stuff on here from a much simpler time. Captitol relaeased the same album a year and half later under the title "The Early Beatles".

VeeJay reissued years later under the same title, but with a much differnt cover.

Home that answers your question, Liam[:D]

Geez...sorry to go so far off topic. I just realised this was Top Macca Live Tracks. I was answering Liam's question above.

Top Live Track for me today: Blackbird from WOA. Beautiful. I can't wait to hear the lastest on the upcoming live CD from the DR tour. He did it very well in Celeveland. I have the one from the Queens Jubilee.

Don't worry about going off topic - it happens all the time here! In fact, when a thread stays on topic into its third page, it's a record!
