Live in Charlotte

Postby young boy » Tue Aug 13, 2002 7:19 am

I've got 2 hour VHS Paul live in Charlotte '93 during the New World Tour. It is taped from 3Sat with German subtitles and have a pretty good quality but Sgt. Peppers which is damaged. Does anyone know is it possible to get it on DVD, or it is unofficial, cause Paul Is Live film/concert is the official one from the NWT '93.

Yeah, it's unofficial. I taped it when it aired back in '93. As far as I know, they never released it as an official package.

Exactly, Steve. That really p*ssed me off. This is PAUL McCARTNEY!! At least air a live concert without commercials! Geesh! Because of the commercials, they cut out a lot of songs. When they came back from commercial, you could hear Paul and the band finishing up songs that they were playing during the commercial break. One of them I remember was Coming Up. FOX really dropped the ball on that one.

I've got a Queen concert recorded in a similar manner - with songs cut out. I've got the CD of the same show, which has over half an hour more stuff on it than the TV performance. Typical!

What next - they'll actually stop live concerts for ad breaks, and we'll have to sit there while salesman come on and try to persuade us that we should buy their product?
