I'd like to know if "The Concert For The People Of Kampuchea"is available on VHS or DVD... Wings performed on that charity concert in 1979.

It played here in the USA on a thing called "NightFlight" on the USA network around 1983. I taped a bit of it, but it's bad quality. Someone else might have it.....

Thanks Steve!! Wow, 1980´s tape!!! That year we(in Brazil)hadn´t VCR in the country yet!! VCR machines were introduced only in late 1981 in our country... I just saw some stuffs about the concert in TV news flashes.

Yepp--the golden days of VCR's..as in EXPENSIVE. Teh betamax preceded the VCR (beta tapes--never caught on) Those darn VCRS were $1500+ (Thats 3600 haish) The tapes back then were $12 or so...around 1985, the prices started dropping, then again in the late 90's---one like I bought in 1980, I can get for $89 today (and it was loaded--it also weighed a ton!!!---brass parts ect. I still have the antique!)

True, Steve, I remmember that Sony Corps. tried to introduce Betamax format in Brazil that time, but it failured 'cos few people liked that version. VHS became popular, but was very expensive when it was introduced here.
