I saw him in 76 (great voice), 90, 93 (straining vocie) and in 2002 twice, and what you hear is the way it was. Awesome vocals in 2002 vs 90-93. It may because he may have rehearsed himself to death vocally in 90-93, whareas in 2002, he rehearsed only a bit, and took much better care of his voice-it certainly shows.

hmm. I must admit I don´t see why everyone dislikes Hamish...[:I]
Well Helters, I give the guy his due. His Average White Band tune, Pick Up The Pieces from '74, is one of my prized 45s. Occasionally I'm a DJ at wedding receptions, and that one is a crowd pleaser.

Paul must have been a big Average White Band fan. I think the Hamish comments refer to his stage presence. He sorta looks odd on stage, and his voice just didn't seem to blend ideally with Paul's. At any rate, Paul signed him on board. He just must view it differently. My opinion would be, that to Paul, jiving interpersonally and jamming well with each other is as much or maybe even more important than appearances.

Sorry guys, he just annoys me to death. His voice live does not mesh well with macca's and his solo on TTLF on I saw here Standing there is just plain bad, as was his contribution to the jam in "The ENd". Brian Ray just blows him away in the same role in Macca's band. I too like the old AWB single, but didn't like the interlude of that riff thrown into Coming Up on the 89-90 world tour. He's probably, along with Geoff britton, my least fave macca sideman ever. I'm sure he's a great guy and all, but Hamish=lamish.

I just transferred my horrible copy of James Paul McCartney to DVD+R. Maybe my luck will run like yours. [:D]

Speaking of which, I haven't listened to FITD in a while. Might need to take that out. Been really grooving to my 2002 DC boot lately. Paul's vocals on My Love were just awesome.

This dvd is a rip off!!

Firstly- and V[:(!]RY annoying:

The intro's are edited out of a lot of the tracks, So a lot of the songs start at the chorus [?][?]

Secondly:
Why is it in 4:3 screen ratio [?][?] ,When most of us have widescreen tv nowadays(well,we do in europe anyway)

Another reason for us to have to buy it again i suppose.....If i buy the widescreen version when that comes out- It'll be the third time i will have bought it [:(!][:(!]
