I suppose he wanted to look like a simple guy, like anyone of the people in the subway...

I think you're right - that was the idea behind it. And in fact I didn't mind his looks at all, quite to the contrary. He was more or less the same age then as I am now, and as compared to my peers he was doing more than fine. Very often when I get on the underground, I remember that video (which makes it a lot easier for me to put up with the crowded, noisy, smelly and at times nerve-wreckingly slow Cologne underground at peak hours). The video is definitely one of my faves, among others precisely because it's an everyday life situation nearly everybody (living in or having been to a big city) can relate to.
It's the start of a journey
To a much better place
And this wasn't bad
So a much better place
Would have to be special...

My favourite video would be "Waterfalls"......but as thats my favourite song by Paul i'm probably biased anyway.

I also like "Pipes Of Peace" and "Pretty Little Head",both probably because there's more going on than the simple performance style video.

Perhaps the most impressive video was the one made for "Only Love Remains" which was filmed in one continous take.

I also dig Pretty Little Head a lot, it's rather unusual for Paul. I couldn't say I'm that much of a fan of Waterfalls though... Beautiful song, rather strange video - at least for me.

Since MPL seemingly will NEVER release a "Lennon Legend" equivalent of Macca videos on dvd, I've been downloading a few Macca videos lately off p2p. Some of these videos I haven't seen for years, and reminded me of how cool they were.

Ebony and Ivory for instance - how cool is it when you see Macca strolling along a giant piano keyboard, and Stevie is sitting on one of the black keys, so Paul mounts the black key beside Stevie, singing 'together in perfect harmony' ..

And then there's Say Say Say - where Paul and Linda are selling a special strength potion and MJ is the performing monkey wowing the villagers, so everyone buys a bottle and they make a fortune...the video reminds me of the "Smooth Criminal" style Jackson was to later revisit in his videos.
