GET BACK dvd

Postby DylansMrJones » Fri Apr 25, 2003 8:25 am

I'm about to go buy the GET BACK dvd. It's a little expensive ($34), but I came into a few unexpected dollars that will make this purchase feel almost free! Besides, my BACK IN THE US dvd is getting lonely on my shelf.

I'm quite pleased with this DVD. I was a bit skeptical, thinking perhaps it could have been a bootleg. I still wonder if it might be. It doesn't have a single mention of MPL Communications, Capitol Records, EMI Records , or even a country of manufacture. Also the track list doesn't include The End (although it is in the DVD). Only real special feature is the option of showing the lyrics, a few of which are wrong here and there.

The sound and picture are pretty decent. I'm glad I picked this up. Nostalgia really. Except for Chris, this is the first band I saw when I saw Paul my first and so far only time.

Golden Slumbers/Weight/End is awesome. Probably the single most wonderful part of the show. It gives me goose bumps!

Dylan---I don't know if it is a bootleg or not, but I saw one at best Buy the other day--forgot to look for the MPL stuff on the outside. Must do that.

I bought a 16:9 version of this dvd from the german Amazon website a few months ago..... it's awesome, great picture quality....great sound quality..and it's stuffed to the hilt (it weighs in at a whopping 7.39GB)..with Paul interviews, band interviews and band biographies etc.

A much better version than the standard 4:3 version which doesn't have hardly any extra's.

And it's awesome seeing Macca play that 5 string Wal bass...he should definitely play it more often.

I bought mine about a year ago from amazon. I think I paid about $30. It is a MPL and it is also in DTS witch might explain the high price. I saw 1 copy at best buy the other day for $34.98. Like I said I think the price has to do with DTS sound. The Paul Is Live DVD right next to it is only $16.00 and it has 3 extra songs on it.

That´s some of his best tours, but I don´t like all the clips on the movie. Especially the abbey road medley at last and the heavy version of sgt. pepper.

Great movie
