Let it Be and Anthology coming on DVD

I'm waiting too. I'm gonna take a wild guess. In the Beatles tradition I'm expecting this to be released in time for the Christmas holiday shopping season, both the DVD and CD.

I do hope they will add more material to the DVD and album. From what I read Paul wants to just issue the same songs but without the Spectorizations. That's only about a 35 minute CD that way, 44 or so if the full version of DIG IT is used.

If I were in charge the new LET IT BE CD would run like this:

1 TWO OF US
2 DIG A PONY (different version than rooftop or Anthology 3)
3 ACROSS THE UNIVERSE (a Jan 69 version, not the 68 version)
4 I ME MINE (same as Anthology 3 version)
5 DIG IT (full version)
6 LET IT BE (different version than other releases)
7 MAGGIE MAE (with the "So we leave the town of London, England" intro intact)
8 I'VE GOT A FEELING (different version than other releases)
9 ONE AFTER 909 (different version than other releases)
10 THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD (same as Anthology 3)
11 FOR YOU BLUE (same version as on original GET BACK album, with false start)
12 GET BACK (different version than other releases)
13 ROCKER/SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME/DON'T LET ME DOWN (Get Back LP)
14 DON'T LET ME DOWN (version from GET BACK album "Hit it Bill!)
15 ALL THINGS MUST PASS (full band version)
16 OCTOPUS'S GARDEN (1/69 version, to give Ringo a song here)
17 OH! DARLING (different version than Anthology 3)
18 LOVE ME DO (Jan 69 version)
19 GET BACK (rooftop version 1)
20 DON'T LET ME DOWN (rooftop version 1)
21 I'VE GOT A FEELING (rooftop version 1)
22 ONE AFTER 909 (rooftop)
23 DIG A PONY (rooftop)
24 GET BACK (rooftop version 3, same as Anthology 3)

But whatever Paul gives us will be cool with me.

My favorite Beatles movie, I’m looking forward to its release. I’m sure I’ll be the first in line to pick it up on its release date. I was disappointed the CD was not going to be that radically different from Let it be other then stripped down and a slight change in song selection. There are some great bootlegs of Get Back in its original conception that would be done justice by an official release. There are also some multi disc Bootlegs that review most of the sessions and prove there is a lot of great music in the vault (and some not so great) that could see release. I’ll buy the CD, but if I only had enough money for one of the two it would be the DVD.

It was hard to find a Video tape for me too.
But I found one, 5 years ago, with a bad sound quality.
So I'm really looking forwards to the DVD.
