Give my Regards to Broad Street

Yesterday, I was digging through on sale VHS bins and I came across GMRTBS for $5.99. I've never seen it. So I've brought it home. I have heard rather negative stuff about this. Is it supposed to be a movie?
Is it supposed to have a plot? I dunno. I am just enjoying seeing Paul, Lin, Ritchie, and Barb all looking super and young. This was 1984? They all look so nice. And for a second, I actually saw Ritchie's eyes. An impossibility these days!

I saw it at the theatre when it came out. I take it for what it was/is. A chance to see more of Paul. It wasn't supposed to be Gone With The Wind, lol.

I saw it when it came out,(1984).I bought it on vhs a few months later. I think paid like $29.99. Anyway it is not a Hard Days Night but it has great music and it does have some funny bits in it. Like the guy on the walkie talkie. I would like to see that on DVD. Maybe some out-takes and some other extras?

It seems a bit odd- Paul isn't smiling. That's what it is. usually Paul smiles or pulls a face or something. Linda wasn't smiling either.

I think Paulie was trying to "act" and convey the seriousness of the "tapes going missing", lol. I still like it---great to see him during this period, and it was the first time he really covered a few old Beatle tunes...(save for a few on WOA).

Too much makeup.
I mean, Paul's face is too white.
Where is his beard?
Looks like they pancaked his chinny chin chin.
I have no idea what is going on in this film, but I'm enjoying it anyway.[:)]
Seems like Paul's hair was quite grey in 84. Or at least the top section was quite grey. I saw pixs of him when he and Linda got home from Japan (early 80, of course) and he wasn't hardly grey at all then. Perhaps he started to get really grey after John was murdered.
Just a thought. I dunno.

Look at the "Press" video from 1986....at least 40% grey at the time. And again, I could care less if the guy colors his hair. I would say that he's not the only performer over 50 to so so. And he's probably not the only one in his band to do so.

Right. I just watched that video the other week. I'd say 50% percent! And the 89/90 tour, I'd say 60%. But I don't care either. Just an observation.

I saw him twice and 1990, and I have to say he colored it alot more then than in 1993. It looked very dark in person. On "Get back", the light sometimes makes it look like it was grey.

And..I did a "Band on the Run" 3 way video comparison last night....1976-1990-2002. His voice was pretty darn strong in 1976, but he wasnt as spot on on his timing. 1990 just plase in comparison. 2002 was best timing and a bit weaker than 1976, but SOOO much better than 1990. As for the band...1976---grossly over-rated. 1990---played WAY too slow. 2002---damn near perfection. Yes--I know--I have no life, lol. Check it out though,,,,,
