Exactly! And, as I said above, it's the same with Benny & Bjorn - as well as the other Beatles, of course!

Sheesh! I only mentioned them in passing, and it had relevance to the situation . . . whoah.

I was joking Liam---I think they suck, but lots of folks like them. To each his own!!

The B-side, then. Right.

And I'm now just over 600 posts away from Ram1 - I'm regaining ground here! Yay!

The most psychedelic one from this period is I am the walrus, i think. a little bit terrifying, frustrating.

Young Boy, you are wise beyond your years. The King revises his choice to a tie between Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite and I Am The Walrus.

I generally think Elton John is sappy. Some excellent tunes here and there, but I can't really get going with him. I did really like his recent hit "I Need Love" though.

Somebody help me, I'm having a Macca Attack!!!

I can't help but think that when Elton sat down to write "I Need Love" he said to himself, " I want to write a song like the Beatles."

Wow, I actually find myself agreeing with you for the first time. I feel the exact same way about that song. Very Beatlesque in my opinion.

Take it away, wanna hear ya play til the lights go down....

Well yes, musically, it does sound a bit Beatlesque. I think BT wrote the words. Elton certainly didn't. Maybe his song-writing partner had the same inspiration.

Sooner or later we all will be there....
