It was after Blue Moves that Elton and Bernie took a sabbatical from their writing partnership. They have since got back together, of course, and penned more great songs. And they're still going strong!

Nito--exactly---and as for them still writing great songs---I totally disagree...everytime I check out a new elton album, it's pathetic..one good song and 12 stinkers....it's really sad. Shells of their former selves. I respect your opinion, Liamstar, but I have to disagree. How about getting everyone back on topic....this aint the Elton forum LOL

That one is TempersandTiaras.com, I believe.

Sooner or later we all will be there....

Elton's voice turned so low, I think just for a throat surgery he did in 1985 I guess.

Peace.

I have a comment--and i'm just bursting, but I won't. Hook has taken enough abuse.

Or we could just move this to the NPC forum, then it would be OK to talk about Elton as much as we liked

I'll take your word for it . . .

Yeah Steve - you're right, but we can keep on Elton's topic on the NPC forum, if you want it. "Mr.Glitterbright", like we called him here in his early days is an interesting topic.

Peace.

It just goes to show that sexuality has no bearing on musical talent.

Macca said once that Elton is a phenomenal pianist, probably the best rock'n'roll pianist, he reckoned.

Just be careful how you pronounce that p-word! One wrong inflection and you'll be frowned upon for indecency!

But yeah, he is an excellent pianist (don't forget to pronounce the a and the t!)
