Megs, there are actually plenty of white rap artists out there. Just none right now that are as big as Eminem. Back in the early 90's, the biggest rappers were House of Pain and Vanilla Ice. I'm just saying it's a pretty strong statement to say "its just some black dude talking really fast and swearing at people." As you know, not all black artists rap either. Lenny Kravitz is the man.

I actually prefer the Guess Who's version myself. Guess Who are a great band by the way. You should check out more of their stuff.

There's a pretty noticeable difference in the main riff. Also in the vocal delivery.

Ram, you forgot about living colour.[;)] they were a one hit wonder in the early 90's. This thread has a lot of good opinions. I think everyone here is in agreement on the original subject.

Yes, Scrod. Living Colour rocked! (Much better than Color Me Bad. LOL) "Cult of Personality"!! Vernon Reid is a smokin' guitarist.

Good recall Scrod!! Living Colour was one of great bands of early 90s, kinda psychedelic(even the name), a bit Led Zeppelin-esque, Vernon´s guitar riffs were great!! It´s a pity that group life was so short... When did they break up?? I can´t remmember...

Peace.
