Long and winding road DVD-set

Postby bianca_macca » Sun Aug 03, 2003 6:12 am

I just saw this 4 DVD-set 'a long and winding road' in a magazine. it costs 44 euro. Is it worth the money or should I stick to my anthology?

I wouldn't buy it. This documentary doesn't even come close to ANTHOLOGY in terms of quality and content. If I don't see an Apple on a new Beatles release, I don't buy.

It's sensational.. I recommend you buy it... it interviews all the inner and outer circle of the Beatles...

I'd not seen anything about this before...

How's the quality? Is there a lot of stuff that's not on Anthology? When was it put together?

Thanks, if anyone knows...

Basically, this 'Winding Road' thing was barfed up...I mean...released suspiciously a few weeks ahead of the ANTHOLOGY dvd set. Many people actually confused it with ANTHOLOGY when they saw it for sale on the internet and bought it. It's certainly not sanctioned by the band or EMI Records or Apple, and it's not in any way related to the ANTHOLOGY set. A friend of mine has it and the parts I saw were dreadfully boring.

Stick with ANTHOLOGY. I mean after you hear the story from the Beatles themselves. Why listen to anyone else? Only the 4 of them know what they went through.
