Helter Skelter is not THAT aggressive, is it? I mean, there's so much music out there that's heaps more likely to be listened to before killing someone. If you know what I mean. Marilyn Manson, Eminem come to mind. Not to say anything about their music (I love Eminem), but it's certainly more aggressive than HS...

I think it has more to do with the "cult of Manson." It's sick that guys like that have "followers." I'm just surprised that it's lasted this long.

I like how U2 introduced the song on Rattle & Hum - "This is a song Charles Manson stole from the Beatles - we're stealin' it back."

I reckon HS as a proto-heavy metal style, a good rock song, but on account of that Manson's abominable acts, and of this new horrible fact, that song is ever related with murder and demoniac acts... I don't relate that song with such acts but somepeople still do it...It's very sad all that had been happened for a Beatle-song...

Peace.

With the popularity of the Beatles around the world most of the people took their message of peace and love, but into this millons of people who like the beatles its ovious that one will take the wrong message and use it to kill people instead of loving people...
Sad... So sad...
Anyway i hate more Chapman...

I don't think music or lyrics can bring out such behavior in people. If a person's gonna carve someone into pieces because he heard HELTER SKELTER, chances are he'd do it anyway regardless.
