Which beatle songs do u prefer live instead of studio?

Heres my list: Cant but me love(i dont like the mix very much, pretty weak, the Anthology version with backing vocals is incredible), Shes a woman, This Boy, Babys in Black(same as CBML), Do you want to know a secret(Geoff sings it better live), Chains, You cant do that(Ringo is better in this one).

PS: All my loving from Hollywood Bowl is awesome!!!
Eight days a week live? it would had been great

The Long and Winding Road. Mainly because I don't think any of the recorded versions really do it justice.

If the STAR CLUB stuff had been recorded properly instead of horribly, I think many of those versions of the familiar Beatles songs and cover tunes would have equalled or surpassed the studio versions. Those Hamburg shows must have been awesome.

Yup, and a very different sound to the studio sound. Faster, louder etc - early 60s punk / thrash !

That must have really been something, back then. If you compare the average early 60's music to what the Beatles were playing... It's 'way beyond compare'!

I'm with you on This Boy, Grillo. John really belts it out.

I also like the live performances from Sweden that appear on Anthology 1, they knock me out. The liner notes in the booklet describe them as exuberant, and exuberant they ARE!

I also think Thank You Girl off Live @ the BBC is done with some added energy.
