"I'll Get You" and "Day Tripper" are two songs I think Macca would never do 'cause they're primarily Lennon songs.

Agreed, all awesome songs. Paul and the band were working on I've Got a Feeling earlier this year, prior to the Back in the World leg. They never eventually played it did they? I suppose I would have heard if they did, but I've been a bit out of the loop the past couple months.

I don't know if I agree about Tripper. Paul does more solo parts ("Got a good Reason")...I think it sounds more like a Paul song..dunno..just my opinion..

Good point, Steve. I always thought of it as more of a John song for some reason, but you've made me think. As I play it in my head, I can see what you're saying. It really DOES seem more like a Paul song. Both vocally and musically.

Yeah man---I go back and forth on this oall the time in my vacant mind, lol. In a way, I see the Lennon thing with the lead guitar sounding like some of his stuff a bit later on (Dr Robert etc). But the melody of the song sounds more Macca-ish. I'll have to bone up on the Miles book and see what it says. I just love the way Macca sings that lead vocal and would LOVE to hear it live. Plus--Rusty would just devour the lead guitar and it would be VERY LOUD!!![:D]

The lead is played by Harrison as you can see in the promo videos, and since paul is singing the lead melody it must be mostly his song..
Paul said before the tour that "I´ll get you" is one of the "John" songs he would like to play live!

Helter---of course the lead is George. I was talking about who came up with it.
