Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman has a CD of Beatles covers. The title escapes me, and I haven't heard it, but it might be worth checking into.

I believe I heard some of Elvis' version of Hey Jude once, (circa 1970 maybe?) From what I remember, it was really good.

Although it is a Larry Williams composition, there is a Rush bootleg where they play BAD BOY. Geddy Lee announces that the song is from BEATLES VI.

I have this Wakeman´s one, and it calls "Tribute To The Beatles", and I think it´s just OK. It has good moments but sometimes seems kinda "muzak", you know, but you can try to listen to it if you wanna relax or even...SLEEP!! LOL[:D]

Peace.

I have the following CD singles, got most of them off eBay:

Revolution - Stone Temple Pilots
Taxman - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Two Of Us - Michael Penn + Aimee Mann
Across The Universe - Fiona Apple
Magical Mystery Tour - Cheap Trick

Is the "Revolution" the one the stone temple pilots did live at "Come Together: A Night For The Words & Music Of John Lennon"? I loved Alanis Morrisette's "Dear Prudence".

Yes, sleepy, there is mention of that on the liner notes.

I never did pursue what that "A Night For The...(etc.)" event was all about. Was if a full CD or video? Who else performed?

I also have a very decent Cheap Trick CD single version of Cold Turkey that came off a Lennon tribute. Never been much of a Cheap Trick fan, but when they do Beatles, they pull it off rather well.

Their back-up on Lennon's I'm Losing You really smokes, IMO.
