ok, we were talking about the guitar on Taxman. but what about the bass line? it´s also played by Paul. jaja he cant stop, sucha amazing musician. cant believe it sometimes [:)]
George said he really liked the way Macca played the bass, with that hindu style he had in mind

Paul's lead guitar solo on TAXMAN is most brilliant. Usually when people discuss Paul's playing they talk about his bass playing. Occasionally they discuss his keyboard and acoustic guitar playing. His lead guitar work hardly comes up. I recently made a friend listen to TAXMAN when we were discussing great lead guitarists. When I said McCartney he laughed at me saying "Paul plays bass, piano and acoustic guitar." After I played TAXMAN for him he was amazed. He said "That's Paul? I always thought that was Harrison." I had to show him Mark Lewisohn's BEATLES RECORDING SESSIONS book to prove it.

Have another doubt in mind. Also read that Macca was absent when the Beatles recorded SHE SAID SHE SAID and George or Lennon-cant remember-played the bass and sung all the vocals.
Well...in the verses there are ´two´ Lennons singing, but in the middle eight it seems to be a Macca voice, what do you think? Now, the bass thing could be coz there is not anything cool with it. [:D]
Anyway, what do you have to say, fellas?

In the Miles book, Macca says this of SSSS:

"John brought it in pretty much finished, I think. I'm not sure, but I think it was one of the only Beatle's records that I never played on. I think we had a barney or something and I said "Oh F*** You!" and they said "Well, we'll do it". I think George played bass. (EMI studio records do not mention this).

So...there´s no Macca voice in the song??? hard to explain.
THe only conclusion i can get it´s that MAcca plays better the bass than George [:D][:D][:D]

I read that on "She Said She Said" Macca played bass but did not participate in the singing.
