Beatles Gear by Andy Babiuk

Anyone have this book? Just picked it up tonight. Published in 2001, I got a revised 2002 edition. It's a book on "All the fab four's instruments from stage to studio". I looked at for an hour before I bought it. Awesome stuff. Lots of photos I've never seen as well. Can't wait to really tear into it.

Barnes and Noble. It has so much detail I can't believe it. Like the Casino guitar that Lennon used late in the mid-late-60's. I thought he had several, but it was the same one, as he painted it psychedelic colors from it's orig sunburst color, and then had it sanded to a natural honey brown later on. It will take me weeks to read all of this stuff,lol. Very cool.

Sounds like a goody. I would no doubt expect it to have a picture of John with his sonic blue Strat. He and George both had one, then George painted his psycho-delic as seen on Magical Mystery Tour.

I have it too. Great book. especcialy if you´re into guitars yourself. Great story about George´s Gibson SG that someone sold in a garage sale, not knowing it used to be George´s. It´s untraceable since then.

George gave the guitar (Gibson SG, used in the promo of Paperback Writer) to the guitarist of badfinger. This guy died in the early 70´s. His wive sold the guitar. she didn´t know the value. Because the serial number is unkown the guitar is lost forever. If you own a ´64 gibson Sg standard you are allready a lucky bastard. But considering that it might be George´s guitar [8D][8D]
But you can never prove that it is actually that guitar because of the serial number.
