I cant find the other thread, but I just listened again to the original (several times).....

There are nine parts, 3 each and I really think it goes like this:

Ram and Auj? I cant remember what you folks said---but the Anthology say confirms the above order.....Modern drummer said it's Harrison/lennon/McCartney in that Ringo article...I can't believe that's true...

The live versions of course have many more than 3 sets (5 on Tripping and more on BITUS)

I stand by John's words. Those rough nasty licks at the end are John's.
Also Mark Lewisohn backs up John, as well.

I love the guitar solos - i just wish they were longer. Overall, you have to say that the guitar solo idea was brilliant - just wish they really ripped on it. I can understand John's criticism of Abbey Road being a bit too polished - I wish they were a little more raw.

Beautiful music is Abbey Road. It's dreamy and trippin' and all up in clouds. But, sadly, the arrangements, dig, they be too perfect and too prestine for this old hippy to truly groove around the joint, too in a sort of texture way.
