That's Steve Hoffman, the ONLY person most people want to be in charge of remastering the Beatles.

He is a huge Beatle/Macca (as you can tell) fan and would treat the recordings with utmost care and respect.

Wow... Steve Hoffman demonstrates why mastering too loud RUINS the sound of CDs... using Figure of Eight as an example!

Probem is that when you listen to songs that are mastered so loud (and they are nowadays) and there is one song between that is not mastered loud, that one song will stand out and be experienced as poorly mastered because of its low sound level.
